Found this article by Matthew Shaw in a RL Report:-

The next Briers
His dad wreaked havoc for years. Now, Reece Briers, the son of legendary Warrington halfback Lee, is making his move into the professional ranks.

He has signed for League 1 club North Wales Crusaders as he begins his career in the third tier.

“With my dad playing for Wales, I know the fans are very passionate so I’m really looking forward to playing in front of them," he said.

“I just can’t wait and I’m buzzing to meet all the boys in pre-season.

“Working hard is all I do really and I’ll make sure I do that for my teammates, the coaching staff and the club.”

He played for Warrington Academy last year, so I am unsure as to whether this is a loan deal, or whether Wire have released him?

Just read in the Warrington Guardian, that it is a permanent move.

Allegedly told he was released from Wire via email.
If correct, very poor form from the club.

Really can’t see the Club behaving like this, especially given his dad's standing. I have no more evidence for this than the original assertion but it sounds like mischief making to me.

Always beware of the word "allegedly" or "rumour has it" or "apparently it's all over twitter" ... there are some mischievous beggars about. Never easy to pass on bad news but I'd prefer to think the best.

Could well be BS, but it ain’t mine. I personally hope it is BS.
