Potentially 9 months to a year so might not see him at all next year, really unlucky and wish him a great recovery.

Such a shame for him, wish him a full recovery. I'd be surprised if he were to break in to the first team next season now but you never know for sure.

I feel very sorry for the guy. Hopefully he'll bounce back but I expect that 2022 will be a write-off for him.

I don't think that there will be a problem with not registering him for 2022 since he hasn't played a game yet.

If we deregister a player, there is no guarantee that he will stay at Wire, when he becomes available to play?

We’d still hold his contract, he just wouldn’t be part of our playing squad.

As others have said, if he gets injured before the season starts we can apply to have him removed from the cap, if at any point he got fit enough to play of course he would then need to be added to the salary cap.

Maybe we will see him head out on loan for the end of 2022, depends on recovery time I guess.

Shame for the kid, hopefully he has a speedy & full recovery.

He's on a two-year contract.

The first year is basically gone so he'll have one year to prove himself after having a year out.

Doesn't bode well. A cruel blow for him.
