Where are they now ? : Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:42 am
Carter , left , no official confirmation.
Dixon ?
Fella ?
Ricketts ?

Boas injured
Hedges injured

I am not the only one, see facebook ,who feels the club do not release enough info re players .

I appreciate the coach's opinions BUT its the fans who pay to go through the turnstiles.

Dixon was running water Sunday so obviously close to being back in the team from injury .

Heard rumors Boas , Hedges and Fella season long injuries while Ricketts is work related I believe.

Forgot about Carter thought he had left the club two years ago but who knows.

I know Covid has hit a lot of clubs and with the four coming in from Sheffield at what looks like short notice it makes you wonder if a few of our boys have not been struck down with it.

That however doesn't account for the dross that was served up Sunday, but it could be the reason Howe and Douglas were at the game but not playing.

Some information from the club would be helpful as speculation does nothing for the fans confidence in the current coach and management.

I'm 100% sure Dixon was running water with Howe.
Dixon took part in the warm up but i didn't notice Howe until he ran on with the water.

As fans, we feel a connection with the players and want to know what is going off at the club.

It’s hard to get things right on the field but when things are done poorly off the field, there is no excuse.

Keeping fans properly informed should be an integral part of running a club.

The big screen, for example, should we really have to take a pair of binoculars into the ground to read the teams? This is very poor communication that should be able to be sorted.

We didn’t even have the teams running through on the small scoreboard at the Hunslet game yesterday.

We could make the game day experience better for away fans too by running their team through on the small scoreboard. Besides, I want to know who is playing for the other side as well.

When the PA team announcements are made it’d hard to remember everything that’s been said. I must say, I think the PA announcer is otherwise doing a good job announcing substitutions and try scorers.

It is so important to look after fans otherwise they become disgruntled and feel disconnected with the club. Once lost, it is very hard to win people over again.

I think communication has been flagged up on a number occasions and from what i can gather it is RH's policy to keep squad information in house , however i may have misheard.
However the silence from the club speaks volumes of this being correct.

I too believe it is RH's policy not to divulge any injury information but the man needs to recognise he is in the entertainment industry, not the secret service.

If you don't keep the fans happy by winning on the field or communicating with them properly, you will lose them and we can't afford to lose anybody.

From the same Club Doncaster stable as the Dons but IMO poles apart from what we get. There is no wonder this bloke gets high praise from the Rovers fans.

Apologies if you are not a Rovers fan but my point is what is good for the goose etc.

Spot on Mike :thumb: what is to hide, crikey, Hunslet must have taken all of 3 seconds to suss out RH's cover up plan. Be honest and say what the problems are beforehand. If it does come out that some of the absentees were due to Covid related matters, it looks like an excuse.
