Miller was cleaned out with a head shot, albeit, he was probably on his way down but, he jumped to his feet and got on with the game and then Saints coming of their own line, take a Sterlingesque dive to steal a penalty.

If Miller stays on the ground, Saints have another player in the bin.

I seem to remember Miller doing something similar a few weeks ago, very, very generous from our captain.

Personally I'd rather he just got back up rather than pretending.

I’ll watch it again but from where I was stood Ryan looked as at fault as any other, he made no attempt. But I’ll see what the replay shows.

Re: Squad for Saints : Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:50 pm
When I saw the teams, I was quite worried - us down the the bare 17 - them playing a decent `17 despite the cup final coming up (they didnt do that v london last time did they?) the frustrating thing for me is we ran them close and also gifted them three tries.
Again, our plays in their 20 let us down - at 14-16 down I thought we would win.
A chance missed for sure.
Thought Liam Kay was outstanding and thoroughly deserved MOTM.

Castleford have an interesting team out today which might be a lesson to us should a St Helens situation arrive in the future.

Said this loads and think the club owe an explanation on why this was done. How the hell are they supposed to sell season tickets if changing games late in the season. Yes sky will change and there’s pretty much nothing you can do but when it was announced changed some people on Twitter said oh great I can’t go now and these were season ticket holders. Sorry but this was a poor decision from the club.

You know this how exactly?

You privy to the meetings involved?

MC may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea but does he seriously strike you as a man who could in anyway be bullied into taking a decision that he didn’t want to? seriously!

As for an explanation, again, seriously!

Let me point out to you a fact. WTRLFC is a LTD company. There are no independent shareholders as far as I’m aware which is why there are no AGM’s, please correct me if I’m wrong.

The club no more has to explain to you why it makes decisions anymore than Ford has to explain why it no longer makes the Cortina.

If you read your season ticket blurb I guarantee that somewhere the club will ‘reserve the right’ to change fixtures as they see fit.

You’re being incredibly naive to say the least. Clubs have never had to explain fixture changes like these.

You could if you wish form a fans group, raise some cash and buy the club and then run it as a members club. That way you will be entitled to know why the game against South Wales crushers was scrapped.

Finally I didn’t see you moaning when Leigh allowed us to rearrange a fixture that clearly benefited us.

The club will have done what they did with the best of reasons but as in all businesses it doesn’t always go to plan. Just live with it.

When this was announced on Twitter a few replied saying thanks I had planned this months in advance (not me as can’t buy a season ticket as never know what I will be doing) but cannot attend now abs they were season ticket holders. Some said they would now think twice about doing this if the club change the game date late in the year. Leigh game suited both to be fair looking at it now it’s a good job for both parties it was rearranged.

Who cares if it’s a limited company. If they won’t think about fans then they should expect the same. I think MC has done a good job with regards to business I just think it’s the case of little old Wakefield we will just take it on the chin as usual.

I am a season ticket holder I couldn't go due to the change but as a season ticket holder I get access to all the games on our League app free, I watched it Friday whilst away in Northumbria, in the current situation I am not fussed if I cannot make it to stay safe and all that.

The change was announced a good while ago I don't do twitter so have no idea what was said but I knew in advance but as I said no issue for me.

There are many faux fans on twitter and facebook (as there are on this forum) who come out with spurious outrage at almost every decision "the club" makes. The red, white and blue FB page is probably the best example of a platform for whining losers.
