Was really pleased and surprised with our forwards, they were aided well by Greensmith and Doherty taking the ball in as well...like having 2 extra forwards. Glad Doherty is back, he has got some class about him, much as I love Halliday Sam is bigger in defence. It was bizarre how the Dons forwards made their counterparts look undrilled... We look great in red as well...
A great 80 minute performance ,which bodes well for the rest of the season.
Heard that Russ Spiers had left the club due to not being selected , I know he has not featured since the Keighley defeat but he did appear on the squad sheet for London.
That rumour is doing the rounds No disrespect to Russ hard to see him & Ryan in the same 17 . When Douglas & Motudi are back more competition for places .
I heard he had gone three weeks ago but when i saw the squad for London I thought it must have been misinformation , however I heard from a friend in Castleford that he had thrown his toys out of the pram after not being selected.
If this is true it only proves that no shirt is guaranteed and has to be earned.

I hope he has stayed with us and is prepared to fight for a starting place but if not he will end up somewhere that can guarantee him that selection.
It looks like the days of turning up and expecting to get selected are over at the Dons and it shows on the field to be honest.
