In an ideal/unrealistic world, from today's 17, who would you want to see here next season?

Clark D
Widdop
King
Cooper
Currie
Mulhern
Walker

maybe Lineham & Ratchford

......but I wouldn't miss anyone else

Oops. Sorry I read it as ‘Excrement for the new season’.
I’ll scroll on.

So did I. This season isn't fully done yet, even though it feels like it. Firstly, I'm looking forward to getting to a game and hope that it's this side of 2022.

If we had played well yesterday then a few of the games coming up could have been an opportunity to see more of Thewlis, Wrench, Longstaff, Robson etc by dropping a few into a team that is confident and playing well.
It will be interesting to see what happens now. We have zero chance of lifting the SL trophy this year so I think KF should stick Paul Anderson in charge and give some of the youth a chance, bring some players back from loan deals and set up for next year.
We have nothing to lose now other than perhaps another pathetic first round play off exit to one of Hull FC, Huddersfield, or Cas.

Bin SP off and Powell should send one of his backroom staff to take over for the rest of the season and to tell the players they are all on probation and he'll be reporting back to Powell daily.

Powell is being paid by cas, recruitment is one thing being involved in day to day running is taking the pee. His priorities are on hs current team and that's where they should be.

Maybe Anderson doesn't want to run the team for the rest of the season and that's why price is still here? Same goes for Henderson.

I really don't like to give up on this season, there is a long way to go and anything can happen in playoff rugby, no way would we win 2 games in the trot to lift the grand final as things stand. If the club don't want to write this season off then a change has to be made and sooner rather than later. It's madness to look at the saints final when we lost to catalans, Wigan and Hull in finals having tried to defend our way to glory! Every time we haven't got to a final the exit has been pathetic like yesterday, and Salford last season.

Christ. The incoming coach has got Oliver Holmes playing like a latter day Mike Gregory ffs. Are you telling me Holmes is a better second row than Currie?

I don't get why people seem to think Oliver Holmes isn't a good player, fair enough i'd say currie has better ball handling skills but Holmes is better in attack and defense and is more aggressive, AND he has ball handling skills aswell. He's a great second rower and will be a bonus to us if we do sign him, at 13 he's be immense and at second row, i'd take him over hughes every single day of the week. I hope Hughes goes soon, he defends well and that is literally it.

Holmes is a good player,.made better by great coaching but he isn't a patch on Currie particularly in attack. Currie is one.of the most gifted forwards we've had at the club for decades, but maybe he doesn't look quite as effective when our "playmakers" keep putting him into brick walls.

However, I do agree re Hughes - I'd love to see Holmes instead.
