Are these reports Fantasy ,or a possibility .?The guy is a great player I can’t think of any other Club who could afford him on their Salary cap except maybe us ,and till the end of the season is a win , win thing for both sides.

I was thinking the same yesterday. Would he want to play for a struggling club - NO. Would Leigh be able to afford him - YES. Will a top club come in for him - MORE THAN LIKELY. One thing in our favour is that we are in the borough he wants to return to. I have a sneaky feeling he will end up at Leigh until the end of the season. A top halfback is exactly what we need. Thanks for the inquiry Graham, yes I’m doing ok now , getting better every week , even got to game on Sunday , that didn’t help.

As you say , maybe sign him till the end of the season , I’m sure he would be a very good addition to the team , and as you say he wants to stay in the area, I would give it a go , if we can bid for Hayne,and other big names George would be very good , eager to show his worth ,and a position we are struggling in .

I’m definitely a glass half full kind of person and would love to think he could come for the rest of the season, but reading sky sports I just don’t see it. Wigan are being reported as having room on the cap, since they released George Burgess, and since Williams is a club trained player he would only count for £75,000 on the cap.
I hope I’m wrong though

If wishes do come true and GW joins us, we need another experienced halfback, a Tongan wrecking ball and an experienced head coach with JD as his understudy. I feel sorry for JD. He's a smashing young bloke and he would be better helped with someone experienced to take the reins. Better wish harder
