Trinity break their duck : Mon May 24, 2021 7:59 am
Wakefield Trinity finally registered their first victory of the season against in form Hull KR..
After an excellent first half, which saw Trinity go in with a 16 - 0 advantage we had the spectacle of Tinirau Arona "racing" 40 metre's for the slowest try of the season, Usain Bolt, he most certainly is not.
KR scored a couple of quick tries and looked like they may have a real go in the last 10/15 minutes but, a swinging arm by Sims on Jowitt saw the KR man sent off and with it any chance of a Rovers comeback.

Cant believe how good it was to be back, watching live RL

I just saw the replay of the Sims tackle... how was that a sending off???

It was a lazy grab at worst.

No consistency from the ref's, as usual.
Makes a refreshing change to get some advantage from the man in the middle. :D

In the games I've seen Wakefield haven't looked that far off so should take some confidence out of this.

Has the injury situation improved at all/

12 players on the injury list presently I believe. Though that might have included Tupou and Miller who managed to get fit enough to play. Realistically I’d say 4 of them would be in the starting 17.

Worth noting that for the first time (maybe second) this season we had our starting 1,6,7 play. It made a huge difference to our attack.

We had a loose at 9 for 65 minutes of the game in Brad Walker who surprisingly had a cracking game there.

Certainly much improved.

I dont think so but, nice try.

Leigh started some way behind the rest but, at least with DB, you have the potential to spend your way to safety, Trinity certainly dont have that luxury.
It's certainly a big few weeks for Wakefield, with KR yesterday and then Huddersfield and Leigh to follow.

Having said that, Huddersfield seem to be on the up so, not expecting too much from that game,
The Trinity v Leigh game is HUGE but, at least the win yesterday takes some pressure off for us but, a win for you guys and it's all on, again.
Salford are still in the mix and Leeds, despite doing the double over Trinity, are still a long way from comfortable, plus KR.

The fat lady is still at the table, never mind getting ready to sing.
