I've seen straw men in my time but where on earth am I defending anyone ?
People should be held accountable when things go wrong. I fully agree that should apply in all roles. It simply appears you don't.

Her situation was not brought about by Bashir and whilst not condoning the forging of bank statements, there is absolutely no doubt that she wanted to be heard.
There are some strange parallels between Lady Di's situation and those of Meghan Markle and yet, so many people have pilloried Markle for being in the same extreme situation, albeit, as far as we know, Harry didn't enter his marriage with a mistress.
The Diana situation was caused totally by Charles not wanting to stop his relationship with his now wife, Camilla.
However, the press are utterly silent on this issue, how very, very strange ??

As for journalists using dodgy tactics, of course they do, every day of every week.
I'm sure that you remember the telephone hacking scandal ??

I'm not defending his interview at all.
What I dont agree with is the way in which he is being slaughtered almost 25 years after her death and that her former husband, soon to be king ? is allowed off the hook.
Its utterly ridiculous.

Bashir is not the villain here.
