I think the nrl have gone a little ott you cannot stop all head high contact deliberate or not in one game the guy was on the floor as second defender came in and caught him about knee height and got put on report as said previously leeds would have had at least 6 or 7 in bin from fridays game and god help wigan or catalans if it does into force over here

Can't understand why so few wear head protectors these days. I appreciate they don't offer ultimate protection, but surely any protection is better than none. The only players that I can bring to mind who employ them these days are Fages and Lomax.

The Australian R L jump on things straight away.Few year ago they had a surge in off sides, there were give penalties every 5 mins for off sides.The coaches did not like it so teams stoped doing it .Before that they had a surge in players been sent of for dirty play.Players were getting anything from 10 to 18 matches .Coaches did not like it so the teams stoped doing it.Now it's head shots .They will keep sanding players to the sin bin till the coaches get the message.They are light years in front of us ,on how to run thing right.They just play the game fair ,think the bunker proves that.If the ref gives the try ,and the replay shows something a bit wrong it is sent to the bunker.They have done away with cheeting, getting away with foul play off sides, and call 90+% of forward passes Every thing that is ripe in the game over here

They don’t offer any protection other against cuts. I put some info on here last week about it in another thread.

Cheers SC. Never worn one. I always thought that they were padded to some extent.
