Me thinks the safety certificate may have ran out, amongst other things since a game of RL was played there.

Hardly a good image for R/L playing at Odsal.
Dont forget the way forward for R/L is to get more terrestrial TV coverage so people currently outside of the game can watch.
Playing R/L at some of the stadiums we have doeas not look good on TV.
In my opinion any R/L match that is televised on terrestrial TV should be made to play at a modern stadium irrespective of the competition.

Very true, realistically headingley, John smiths or totally wicked would have been best choices. If only we had a national stadium for RL.

“Seating in the stadium will be in groups of six supporters. If you apply for less than six tickets then you will still be allocated to a group of fellow supporters to make up the grouping of six seats.”

Surely seating people together who aren’t from the same household or the same bubble, goes against the whole point of having a socially distanced event?

A rather bizarre and illogical call from the RFL given the situation and current restrictions.

According to the BBC, groups of up to six, or two households of any size, can go inside a pub from this Monday. Therefore, the group of six at a rugby stadium seems to follow this principle.

Yeah, but you would presume a group of 6 friends would be reasonably able to trust one another in terms of their actions re covid. Or you've got the opportunity to say my mate dave is a bit of a dick, doesn't wear a mask and has been going in houses left right and centre forever im CHOOSING to not be in a bubble with him.

The rfl could potentially put you with 5 strangers, and you've no idea whether they're anti maskers for the rest of week.

Why not ask me to have unprotected intercourse with them, or even risk my nut allergy with them

Absolutely, there are flaws with the thinking (or lack of) around seating arrangements for watching the Wire. I wondered whether pubs could add two people, that you'd never met, to you're family of four that are sat having lunch together at a table that could seat six.

No they won’t. You can only sit with who you’ve booked with in a pub or restaurant. Two of you can’t just rock up and decide to sit with a group of four to make a table of six.

For Warrington’s home games we’ve had to fill a form out requesting who we want to sit with out of our group or bubble. They’ve done it right and they’re not putting two people for example, with four other random people you’ve never met before to make up a group of six, which is what the RFL are doing.

I should have made it clearer about watching the Wire in the semi final, my mistake. With the pubs and restaurants, there's no actual requisite to pre-book, just advice to do so, to ensure you get a table and seats. There's a rule of six at a table, but no actual mention of who they may be, or how many households they come from. This could be open to misinterpretation, which I might well have done, and the RFL.

Enjoy the game on Monday, hope it's a good experience for all those able to attend.
