Those who think RL only started with Super League will beg to differ. And I can more or less guarantee there'll be one or two of them on this thread before it's done.

The same website referred to the 2015 Leeds side as the best British RL side ever. Their back line is the best SL has seen. I'm not convinced it's the best Leeds have seen.

That would be a huge boast by almost any standards, and of course very difficult to either prove or disprove.

Strange comment if true considering he was part of one of the actual greatest in history. Any wigan side Phil Clarke played in would have dismantled the Leeds 15 team with ease as they did against the then leeds sides on a regular basis even when they paid top dollar for Hanley and took Iro and Bobby Goulding to name a few.
