Season ticket holders email : Sun Jul 05, 2020 8:10 am
Just checking if everyone who has a ST managed to receive an email from the club last week? I didnt get one so asked the club to resend it.

Out of curiosity, those with season tickets... what do you plan to do?

I'm really in two minds. I really want to support the club but are the same time I'm not getting what I paid for and it's not like I'm flush with cash. This time its not the clubs falt so hence the moral dilemma.

I certainly didn't get an e-mail concerning my season tickets and I have no idea what it said. I am in the fortunate position of being able to support the club by not requesting a refund so that is what I will do. However there will be many who are unable to do this so the club will presumably offer refunds.

Yes I received it a briefly mentioned it on another thread. I’d be very interested to see how the club deal with this given its unprecedented and I don’t see an easy solution either way. If they don’t offer blanket refunds the criticism could be huge especially given our prior history with fan money but offer refunds and it could cripple the club.

I think this applies to every team.

For me people fall into 3 categories, 1) the wealthier and avid fans who would never dream of taking money back and would look to donate more, 2) the strong connected fans who are very involved so can be guilt tripped and whilst not well off paid a while ago and could go without (probably me) and 3) the fans that are incredibly loyal but have no alternative and need that money back due to changes.

I’m sure the club are trying to limit the people they refund but I think they need to be realistic. I like the idea of them asking the fans for thoughts though

I didn’t get an email either. Is another option a slightly reduced ST over next 3yrs? I know as a fan you are gambling on ownership or admin not being an issue but for anyone who can’t afford to write off but don’t want to put club in a bad position short term gives them an option?

I've not had the email either. Can anyone who's had it post a copy online?

2020 Season Update

I hope you and your families are keeping well.

It has been a long while since we at the Bulls have properly interacted with the club’s biggest asset; you the fans, our army of season ticket holders.

The main reason being that there has been little to report.

We all have had and still have many things to worry about. I know for many of you the Bulls are an important part of your lives.

I am pleased to say that from the 1st of July some staff will return part time. The office will be open on limited hours, which represents a small step forward alongside our Online Shop being open for business.

John Kear has agreed a two-year extension deal and he and all his staff have agreed and volunteered to a wage reduction.

Staff have recognised the difficult position the club faces moving forward together with the importance of retaining our academy, which we 100% intend to do.

It has recently come into the public domain that Sky distribution is to be reduced next year for which the Championship will share its appropriate burden.

We have made steps over the past few months in building back a club that I hope you will once again be proud of. It remains our main aim to get back to Bradford as soon as possible. The lockdown may have extended our stay outside however we are determined and focused on delivering this aim.

We are also focused with John at the helm to have as strong as possible a side for next year.

Whatever happens this year and we are hopeful of playing more matches in front of a crowd, it is unlikely, unfortunately, we will fulfill all 13 home fixtures for you and other season ticket holders.

The shareholders have funded the club through this difficult period. However, we are going to have some tough months in front of us. I would ask you to consider your own position in regards to your 2020 season ticket purchase and give me or John your thoughts on what you feel.

It is difficult asking season ticket holders who have given so much in the past but I feel I must.

As soon as we can have a public meeting I would be pleased to meet all but until then please email myself at mark.sawyer@bradfordbulls.co.uk or John Kear at john.kear@bradfordbulls.co.uk and if you would like to talk to me I would be pleased to return a call.

I hope to keep yourselves informed on a regular basis as before the lockdown.

We most certainly will be available to be contacted at the club after the 1st of July.

Let's move forward hopefully to a positive future.

Many Thanks

Mark Sawyer

I didn't get the email but if they offer us one game in a hospitality box next season, they can keep the money. It's gone and though it would be nice to have it back I am very lucky in that currently, everything crossed, I am not desperate to have it.

There are seven of us that go together and I reckon we'd all think the same.

I'd say there could be a 4th category. The habitual attenders of games who, now the habit is broken, have found other things to do and will want the money back before walking away for good.

Re: Season ticket holders email : Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:47 am
I personally won't be asking the money back, but I understand how lucky I am to be in that position.

The owners are in an uneviable position. They have to get the tone right. The facts are that if they do give even most ST money back, then the club will go under. However they can't be seen to use this as emotional blackmail and to make people feel guilty who need the money back as a lot of people are really struggling. Some comments from some chairman have been uncomfortable when reading about players unwillinging to accept paycut or pitiful contracts. I thought Sawyer came across well in the email.

I like Scareys suggestion of at least one free game in hospitality next year, but how many hospitality spaces do we have? Would they be e enough for all season tickets.

Hopefully the news of f JK signing up for another 2 years and Danny Brough looking like signing on may encourage more to forego this year and just as importantly, sign up next year.
