Strong Squad, some changes were expected , I think Reynolds keeping his place means JD wants to see how Reynolds and Sammutt play together,otherwise Riddy would be in .Looks like Shaw in for McNally.

Me too but I get why JD is giving Samut and Reynolds the game also. JD has a realy difficult job ahead if all our halves stay fit. Josh Woods does not deserve to sit out long term with what he has shown so far and a Riddy deserves the chance to show what he can do behind a dominant pack.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the team goes on Friday.

Can see Mullen getting a run out at full back - wouldn’t be surprised to see the hull pair drop out, Shaw then on wing

Higson and Forsyth on the wings for me,Shaw will get a game, as will Sammutt, partnering Reynolds,it’s good to have so much choice.Bienek could drop out as he travels from Hull, but with Mason dropping out, could be Spencer and Brooks coming in .

With the planned changes and the late change to Wilde at halfback I am very impressed with the final score. It sounded like we were in control of the game throughout on LCTV commentary.
I look forward to feedback from those that were there

VL , it was a scrappy game ,a lot of stoppages and to many penalties given away.
The changes did make a difference ,we had Mullen ,Spencer ,Brooks,Shaw,Wildie at Stand off, yet still won with ease, Ben Reynolds had another very good game, Thorniley was my MoM had another very good game.
Everyone did their job and Batley never gave up , they are no mugs,we are in the next round of the Cup, one drawback was Liam Hoods injury , he left the ground on crutches , so Wildie will be at 9 next week.

Never looked troubled by Batley. It looks like we have a very versatile squad. We played a lot of different combinations today and nobody looked out of place. All bodes well for the rest of the season. Hopefully we don’t upset the apple cart later in the season with signing so called superstars to get us over the line.
