As the majority of people will see it happen on TV in SL.. Did you see any of the 4 draws in Championship last season? I bet you saw a golden point game on TV though.

So yes totally useless and pointless.

So if you see it on TV in SL, but not on TV in the lower tiers, does that alter the the concept?

Actually, in SL , you can see 2 teams slog it out for 80 mins only for one team to end up and get nothing after golden point.

At least this new idea,a team will get something out of the 80 mins ,should it be a draw. So it isn't pointless.

The concept is to improve excitement in the game. That works for armchair fans, 4 draws out of 378 matches doesn’t warrant a change.
