The Celtic Crusaders and Diversity event is £10 pre sale BUT normal price will resume on the day of the event. Wakefield Wildcats only play one home game in August and i do hope Wildcat supporters take the club up on this £10 pre sale offer.

Whatever happened to the alternating home/away games? We (Leigh) only had one home game in May, one in June, and one in July! Goodness knows how the RFL expect 'businesses' to run, with three income-earning days, in 90-odd! We've had to issue all fans with sat-navs, to remind them where the stadium is!

Good luck with the initiative - anything is worth trying.

Chappy you cant measure the monetary value that diversity will bring, as you dont know how many would have come to that game anyway and what they would have spent beer, food stalls.
Then you cant gather, whether if any of the fans that come for the first time due to the attraction of diversity initially come again and again then become season ticket holders, buy shirts etc.
They are playing in Quest anyway on the saturday night so I doubt they'd cost a substantial amount i.e. we brought them all the way up from london just for this show had to pay for hotels etc.
Id imagine where getting them pretty cheap as it will be just an 1/2 slot stop gap on the way back home. So id suggest they just said ""why not"" another x grand etc, (they could set off straight after game back home, one would hope not)
I doubt where paying ludicrious amounts of money.

fair points! hope it goes well! maybe just not for me eh?

Hopefully not. I just feel a forum, where words can easily be taken the wrong way, isn't the best way a club can communicate with its supporters...especially if/when things go wrong.

I think its a brilliant idea........im the first on here to say we are a joke off the field when it comes to marketing and have on many occassions made posts to that effeect.

Not watching Britains got talent i did not know who they were. To firstly get a group / act that is nationally known to come is excellent. What we need to do now is market it properly, not just announce it over the tannoy to the converted at the ground, it needs to be promoted correctly building it up. I dont mean just putting A4 posters in local pubs and cafes and sticking it on the advertising hoarding that is abandoned on a grass verge on Lofthouse Hill still advertising GEORGE SAMPSON either. Everyone in Wakefield should know that the act is coming on that day. Put it in the Wakey Express, rugby league papers get out in the Ridings and precincts, put it in local, regional and national papers and rugby circulations.

The act also need to be seen and heard, when groups have come before you dont know what time they are on you cant see them and cant hear them...not that i want to thinking of the kids !!!!!

I think it is also a fantastic idea to market it at £10. yes the season ticket holders may moan but not all of us can afford to pay a lump some at once and if it means going to the club to get a ticket prior to match day then so be it.

Dont be dismayed that we only sild 15 tickets , so what yes its a very poor turn, but how many people may have gone home and told their kids "oh guess who's appearing at Belle Vue?" and we will get sales like that

If marketed and promoted correctly it will be a success, i just know what the club is usually like...but credit where its due a brilliant idea.

The club are welcome to make posts, likewise Davide and his crew and if it helps then all well and good. We are all here for the same reason.

The problems start when things get said in the Heat of the moment and taken the wrong way. Most of us know "what is said and how it is meant" and take it has such, but outsiders often take it the wrong way.

The other side of the coin is, don't say anything on here that you would not say in person to the people at the club who post on here. I believe we can work together, and hope that we can all help with ideas and suggestions.

At the end of the day this is RLfans and our forum and will it will remain so.

Not seen one comment on this subject Fred, i bought four season passes so i'm about £20 down on this deal but i will live with it thanks.

Don't know much about this group/band and really have no interest in them BUT if it helps/works then all well and good.

We often have little moans about the club so its only fair when they do things like this that we congratulate them for it.
