New News re: Stadium, academy, season tickets : Tue Jul 28, 2009 11:45 am
http://www.wakefieldwildcats.co.uk/comm ... 05966.html

Right this is along article so get your note book out but:-

“We’ve taken the move to set season ticket prices at the same level they were in 2007.

Very good move

At a meeting of the club’s Community Trust trustees last week it was decided that land granted by the council as an asset to be used towards borrowing cash for the stadium would be put into the control of the Community Trust.

The news was also welcomed by Stadium Developer Colin Mackie. “It’s great news that the land has been placed in control of the Community Trust,” enthused Mackie.

“It can be used as an asset and gives even greater security to the plans for the Community Stadium.”

Apart from the land asset, does anyone know what, if any, the Councils involvement in the Stadium is?

Any involvement that warrants an ‘in conjunction with’ sends shivers down my spine.

It is a long article and I cannot understand why such important seperate issues such as the ground and next year's season tickets should be 'lumped' together. There is also no mention of another important marketing strategy re season tickets; not only are they at last years prices , but there is no mention of the 'cheap' replica shirt offer.

Tis a fair point. Maybe 3 seperate articles would have been better.

What cheap replica shirt offer?

Indeed. Why have one day of positive news coming out of the club when you can stretch it over a few days?

Regarding the shirt offer, if you are a 'loyalty' season ticket holder (one assumes that this is someone who has purchased one for the 2009 season) or if you are an 'early bird' 2010 season ticket purchaser (the club have not clarified what early bird entails ie the closing date for early birds) you then qualify to purchase a replica away shirt for £25. You can also pay monthly for the season ticket at a small additional cost.
Seemingly good offers, but once again a little short on important detail/clarification.
The above information is taken from an advert in Sunday's matchday magazine, so why it hasn't appeared on the official website I am at a loss.
