On a (slightly) brighter note... : Sun Apr 26, 2009 6:54 pm
We are not alone! All of last week`s top 4 teams lost this weekend, we`ve won 3 from 4, including the Easter period, as good as any other team in SL. Bitterly disappointed today, more with the performance than the result, lets face it Wigan invited us back into the game enough times for us to take the points, and we politely declined. Inconsistent refereeing helped spoil the game, I`m optimistic enough to put it down to a bad day at the office, and it may serve as a reality check. However we must improve for next week, if we can field a team with 2 wingers that is!

Not looking good for wingers. I was told that Blanch looks like it could be cruciate ligaments and both Murphy and Peterson were injured in the second team and likely to be out a number of weeks. Luke George is a way off fitness so do we move Martin back into the centre, Gleeson to the wing and bring Obst into half back with Grix on the other wing.

Following on from the other thread, was Murphy dropped to the A-Team? Seems to be some confusion over if he was injured or not.

I think Gleeson and Grix have some work to do in the week if this is the case.

Apart from the Grix bit, I would be quite happy with that. I think Grix is a very talented rugby player, but I am not yet sure in what position, because there is always someone better than him in any given position. Put JD back in centre and Atkins on the wing. I think we can put out a full pack now, and I think he's better on the fringes than down the middle.

He was dropped to the A team - then got injured playing for them! :(

Looks like big Frank might be needed to make his debut on Saturday - on the wing :o
