As far as I'm concerned Tomkins is already the most naturally gifted 7 at the club. He isn't a kid anymore and there is no logical reason not to give him his chance - apart from the obvious.

no wrong ,they have to play the players on 100 grand plus with aussie twangs no matter how crap they are ,they dont come here to sit on benches ,so sam will be the next to get the bigE cos of our policy signing 2nd rate aussies ,another great kid lost to the game

Lets say Noble went and the new coach didn't rate Tomkins - Would he need to be shown the door instantly?
