Accommodation and Flights : Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:29 am
Hello
Is it possible for someone to recommend to me where to say for the Catalan v Hull FC game on June 8th. We would probably come over on the Friday before and return on the Monday after the same. Also which airport would it be better to fly in to (bearing in mind we would not have transport to and from the airport to the accommodation).
Thanking you in advance.

Most has been covered in this thread before - do have a browse.
Hotels I recommend (with the disclaimer that I've not been for a couple of years) - Hotel de la Loge, Hotel de France. One I definitely don't - Hotel Mondial.
Airports - think you need to go from Stansted in order to fly into Perpignan. From the north, head for Girona and book transfers with our friends at Catalan Sport Tours

Morning.

Bit of a strange request.

I don't suppose there is a way of getting to Perpignan from Vire other than the long 10 hour drive?

Thanks

Anyone?

Whereabout is Vire?

There is a good train network from both north and south of Perpignan if you are on a line.

Sweet Jeebus, it's near Caen!

Train into Paris, sleeper to Toulouse, train to Perpignan? Internal flights? Personally, I'd quite fancy the road trip, but then I like driving

I would suggest going via Paris then... although you could motorway south via Avranches, Rennes etc. before cutting across to Toulouse, Carcasonne etc.

Plenty of nice places to break the journey up

Not down the Atlantic coast? Nantes, La Rochelle, Bordeaux then either across to Toulouse and on to Perpignan or via Pau and the foothills of the Pyrenees.

Thank you for the replies :-)

Sounds like a right treck if I'm honest.
The only problem I have is I don't drive so the Train or Internal Flights would be the only option.
Sounds like a great little adventure though.

Train from Vire > Paris then the sleeper to Toulouse then train to Perpignan?
How would I go about trying to find out times & prices etc. Is there a website I could go on?

Hi , Four of us driving down for the Hull game in June for a week. We've stayed in Perpignan a couple of times now so were looking for a different location to stay . Camp site or hotel ,Canet to Narbonne , All recommendations greatly welcome .
