Death Taxes and Hull FC signing Hookers

While we have the great Danny Houghton, the greatest of old faithfuls, any hooker coming in, will fail to impress, from Josh Hodgson Jez Litten, Dwyer, and a smattering of youngsters, Danny seen them all off, even Christine Keeler would struggle to remove Danny from his position as the bestest hooker we have had for years, like a fine wine, he’s better with age.

He is still an outstanding defender, but his attack has diminished considerably and he is isn`t as much as a threat when he has the ball in his possession.

Interesting the Bradford have signed Corey Johnson on loan for the season, plus another aussie hooker on trial.

Sao was handed a 2 year contract extension , announced April 2023(OOC end 2025)
probably agreed before Smith was appointed .

Re: Shopping list for 2024 : Fri Mar 01, 2024 11:01 am
I went to see an old pal of mine last night, he is unwell at the minute but usually posts on here , sometimes in frustration at the state of the Club.
He summed it up perfectly . for me , anyway. He said that we are a big club, but only in attendance figures, with an owner who has done us proud, but is not able to pour more money in, so, we are where we are and we shouldn't judge some of the new/existing players against the likes of Mini, Ellis etc - because those days are gone, until such time as we secure some outside investment, it is either youth or average players. and despite that, the faithful will endure it, because the club needs its supporters now, more than ever . Like he said, we sailed through a sea of mediocrity and failure under the latter days of Hetherington, who most people didn't like and their is a bit of appreciation and goodwill for Adam Pearson, because he was always ready to splash the cash, but Covid nearly killed off the club, financially, and without him we may have all had to choose which amateur team to support more frequently. It's not jam tomorrow, its Frank Dee's margarine .
