Good, at times it’s like watching a barn dance with a caller. “All hold on in a great big hug, and when I call all fall away so 12 can give a tug”! Which thinking about it could lead to a misunderstanding resulting in more squirrel grip bans…

Hated this rule from day one.
Glad it's going.
Simply impossible to consistently determine when a 2nd player is in contact but not involved.

Great news.

There's enough shenanigans going on already with this part of the game which is difficult to police consistently without actually 'promoting' it.

I agree it's not worked here. However, in the NRL where the play the ball is clean, it's been much better.

Excellent news , keep the game as simple as possible so the spectator on the terraces doesn't have to wonder what rules the ref is using this week.
