It was a bit strange that club didn't announce anything. It was a shame as he impressed against Leeds in pre-season.

Mentioned in paragraph about half way down article. Don't think it was every announced on club website as such though. Suspect it was due to rumoured off field incident which led to Davies retiring. Shame as he looked a handful in friendly last year.

Did enough in training and friendlies to get a bench squad number - 16 - got injured, loaned out for a few friendlies iirc, then retired. Putting your body on the line for money clearly carries risks. Interesting to know what this off field incident was tho.

He was in a car accident not sure if it's that tho.

Think it was Samir Tahroui who was in car accident. Davies was fighting/beaten up on a night out in leeds.

Samir was in a car accident.
The Davies story is correct was out with 2 other players.
