Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

Cheers. I recall you mentioning it during one of your jolly conversations on The Sin Bin and I couldn't remember whether it was current or not.

It's OK, some of the idiots on there often refer to me as "just a lorry driver", despite the fact that I spent more time at school than I did driving trucks

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

I do but some still see all that's wrong with Britain's roads as being the fault of trucks and their drivers. All this despite the number of cars on the road increasing, year on year, over the last 20 years, while the number of trucks has steadily fallen. Mind you, easy enough mistake to make, especially if the truck in front is preventing you reaching your destination 20 seconds earlier.

In fairness though, lorries on a motorway are pretty scary, especially if you're the passenger in a small car etc. If we're on the way to like say, Alton Towers, and you're on the M6, lorries in & out of lanes it's not nice. I spend the whole journey dunging it like it's the ending to Final Destination VI. You zoom past the lorry to ease the nerves and when you look in, it's usually a European chap who looks knackered munching a Kit-kat, I'm shouting through the window 'Take a break mate, take a break'*, by the time you get there you're chuffed to get on the Nemesis to relax.

* When I say take a break, I do genuinely mean that tiredness kills, I'm not alerting him that Asda do a similar, no frills, cheaper alternative to the kitkat.

Wasn't it £21 last year? Hell of a rise if it was. I seem to remember having paid £5 to park last September as well. I was going to travel down, but probably won't bother now.

It looks like you were shafted last season as well if they charged Wire fans £21 in advance. They obviously knew it was your biggest awayday of the season and cranked the prices up accordingly. My tickets from Leeds were £19 advance and there was something like a £3 increase for pay on the day. It would cost me 20% more for the same ticket at Hull this season. Adam Pearson is a tool of the highest order, he's spent too much time in the football world to appreciate Rugby league and its supporters. I will buy my tickets from Hull FC direct, pay £19 and sit in the opposite end to the away section. I'm not choosy where I sit to watch Leeds come away with the obligatory 2 points.

It was £5 to park on Sunday, for a friendly.

Re: Hull Ticket Price : Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:57 pm
Response

Dear ------,

Thank you for your email regarding the ticketing pricing for away supporters at the KC Stadium.

The pricing for the North Stand, where away supporters sit, has been included in a newly reviewed pricing structure which has been put in place by the new management at the club. The move to offer seats for £23 as advance purchase and £25 on the gate was to bring the pricing in line with the other areas of the ground, including the popular West and East Stands.

The only areas of the ground that do not follow this pricing structure are the new family area of the West Stand and the South Stand, where special promotional prices have been set to reward Hull FC supporters for their loyalty in previous seasons.

The new look management at the club promised that an area of the ground would be reduced on match days for home supporters, which is why this area has been offered to fans.

The club are in no way discouraging away supporters from travelling to the KC Stadium this year and will continue to provide one of the best facilities for away fans in 2012, who will also be accompanied by dedicated supporter liaison officers from the club to ensure their match day experience in Hull is a positive one.

However, we had to make the justified business decision to review all our prices for the new season and bring them in line with the rest of the areas in the ground, whilst still finding a way to promote a special offer to our committed supporters despite the limitations of our user agreement with the Stadium Management Company.

I hope this goes someway to answering your email.

Kind Regards,

---------

Basically "We can't afford to reduce ticket prices to our loyal(laughable) fans, unless we fleece away support".

Charging the same(ish) to sit behind the sticks and saying it is to "bring the pricing in line with the other areas of the ground, including the popular East and West stands" where the higher price is justified by a preferred view.

Did you not question the food/drink pricing?
