In all seriousness I think Sam Tomkins will disappear. The real star is his better looking back row brother.

Sam Tomkins is just mere hype hiding behind a good team. Danny McGuire is the real deal.

Are many staying over? If so Walkabout on Quay street (just off deansgate) is mostly full of RL fans on GF night.

The last three years I've had to mix there with Leeds & Saints fans so hopefully there'll be more company for me this year!

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

No bed for me that night - stagger home after the Wigan pubs shut and then watch the match video!

Think were heading to Sam Platts on Trafford Wharf road. Very short walk from the East end of the ground. Its a good atmosphere in there on game day, theres a massive beer tent outside serving bottles/cans to keep the queus down!

Is that the one by the waterside Adam or the one just under the road bridge (which I thought was still closed)? I've managed to avert a shopping themed pre-match and talked the Mrs into a pub crawl. Think we'll be heading to th'oyster bar area first.

By the way mate, your flag gets a mention on Wigan Today. See story about folk having Newton on the back of their shirts!

It's the one right on the waterside mate. The tent outside is a life saver on a busy match dad, presume it will be up on Saturday. Good work with the Mrs, don't think I'm bothering with the city centre.

Cheers for the heads up, just read it, immense!
