or the time you chucked the ball out to the wing we picked it up passed it and he gave a pentalty to you. cause in the south stand there was nothing wrong with that so there were strange decisions stop making excuses we were better we won the game.

no excuses here mate, we were sh!te in the first but better in the second. imo if we hadn't made so many errors it may well have been different. giving ourselves a hill to climb in the second and going at you hammer and tongs in the second may have left ourselves a bit open.

crap in the first half and made it easy for them. dominated the second but maybe left ourselves to much to do?

mind you won't be long enough if we have hicks again this season, he missed greenwood's punch on doran in the first half and just now when barker dropped the ball and blind git said it was stolen in 2 man tackle.

We'll be lucky to get a Ref as good as that again this season. He didn't give the rip it was the touch judge.

I agree, I was really disappointed after the 1st half - I thought we were lucky we weren't 20 points down and expected us to get a bit of a kicking in the 2nd half.

In reality though, if you look at the tries Fax scored all of them were poor play by us rather than good play by Fax. 1st try the ball goes to ground, Varkulis misses the tackle and Black goes in unchallenged. 2nd try all Fax had to do was dive on the ball, and the 3rd was really poor defending from Smithy on our own line. Don't get me wrong Fax were clearly the better side in the 1st half, but it does make you wonder if Fax would have got such a lead if we hadn't made the defensive errors? Fax were quicker and stronger in the 1st half but close to our line, they didn't really look like opening us up - just like we struggled to open them up. In the end, the game was decided on stupid errors and poor defence - which was surprising considering that Fax are normally noted for their attacking ability. Obviously Fax fans should be well chuffed with their defence, but I'm not sure that they should be that pleased with their overall performance. I mean just scraping the win at home against a team who played so poorly for the 1st 40? Fax should have been out of sight by half time.

that second to last try we scored was in our own half and penky knew your guy was offside and did what he has been all of his career. then black took the ball and kept running and then miles took it up and neally got to the line. then worringcy went in faded one way ducked under the tasckle and scored. yes you could have done better in defence but that try was a good try by us and penky was intelegent to set it up as well.

We could say that Flynn's try was down to lee paterson not attempting to catch the ball or tackle the man. However it would be a bit harsh on flynn as it was a excellent catch on the fly.

Overall as a fax fan i'm very happy with the result. We didn't play particulary well but still won. Last season we peaked far too early, this year we'll hopefully time it better and be peaking at the back end of the season.

It should be a good battle towards the end of the season between us and will be alot closer than Thursday night.

I`m really looking forward to our home game with the Fax :D :D

I really do think you lot are being harsh on your team. That game was played at a fast pace. I don't think your def was that bad giving the battering you got in the first half, if it had been another team other than Widnes i reckon we would have blown them away by half time. The fact that you were still in the game and dominated the second half shows that you have a good team. Both teams can take alot from that game, neither are the finished article yet but if we both play with that intensity for the rest of the season then we souldn't have to many problems.
