A very good turnout from the Saints fans too and, although the match was as dull as anything, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Quick question, do you always leave the training gear behind the posts during a match? I was surprised none of the trainers bothered to collect them in?

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Not a word I would use to describe it. In fact, one of the worst games for knock-ons and disrupted play, and the conditions really dictated the game. It was a fairly dull game in all honesty.

However, if Celtic are as competetive and determined in their games then a win won't be far off. But we already know that with, for want of a better word, the 'small' clubs consistency is not a common trait, and they often struggle to back up big performances.

Having said that, this is their first ever year in SL, and to push Saints so close is a massive achievement. It's all a learning curve for the Crusaders this year.

It may not have been the most exciting game (although i and many rugby union fans would have enjoyed the defensive nature of it, although just like a really high scoring game, its not what anyone wants to see every game. Variety innit.) but it showed that we have realised the importance of defence, whish was less of an issue in the lower leagues. Also sometimes watching the guys putting their bodies on the line time after time, showing passion and courage beyond the wage and professionalism, sometimes helps to bind the crowd with the club more then even a exciting, high scoring game. A lot of welsh sport is about a sense of being against the odds, rourkes drift sort of mentality. The boys did us a proud and my rugby union mate wanted to come to the next home game but unfortunately some idiot decided that 7pm on sunday against wakefield was a good scheduling move!

Have you lot forgotten what an old, run down ground with a bit of atmosphere is like then?

Sad really, when fans move into a new home they don't own and look down on others. We could do it tomorrow down here but I like it how it is.

It maybe a shed ,BUT IT'S OUR SHED ! Its also seen some of the greatest sporting triumphs in welsh rugny union and league over the years. Being a Cardiff city fan and losing the terraces will be a travesty next year, one of the many joys of Bridgend.
