I am looking forward to Carcassonne for a cultural point of view as well as the game and social part of the away trip.
Toulouse is a nice city but a lot of us have done it 3 times and some 4 for an international game I think? I think we have just about seen everything that there is to see there.
Perpignan is a nice town too and great if you can get down to the coast too but not a mega amount of things to see and do.
The supporters in both Toulouse and Perpignan have been a good bunch and we have all had a great time but have behaved well during our breaks abroad. It's just another attraction of the great game that you meet new people and despite not necessarily speaking the same language we have a lot in common.
I remember the first trip to Toulouse and my wife was wearing a Penrith Panthers polo and was approached by a lady who was thrilled to see us as she was a big fan of Penrith and in broken English and French we had a great chat. We also bumped into her and her husband in the Sports Hall after the game and again exchanged views around the match. There are lots of English supporters who don't agree with the French teams being in the English leagues and I think myself that Toulouse XIII has more to offer to the French League rather than the Championship at the moment but I'm in favour of an Anglo French comp at a lower level than Superleague and all I ask is better organisation please from the RFL.
