I have come to the conclusion that you lot are a bunch of raving alcoholics !!!

re - programmes : there was only a double sheet special for the Sheffield game on saturday available in the club shop - i'm going down for the Hudds game saturday (hopefully) so maybe I can grab a few copies if I find some and send them on / take them to Carcassonne etc ?

Re: Official Match Thread - Catalans Away (CC) : Wed May 02, 2012 10:25 am
I am looking forward to Carcassonne for a cultural point of view as well as the game and social part of the away trip.

Toulouse is a nice city but a lot of us have done it 3 times and some 4 for an international game I think? I think we have just about seen everything that there is to see there.

Perpignan is a nice town too and great if you can get down to the coast too but not a mega amount of things to see and do.

The supporters in both Toulouse and Perpignan have been a good bunch and we have all had a great time but have behaved well during our breaks abroad. It's just another attraction of the great game that you meet new people and despite not necessarily speaking the same language we have a lot in common.

I remember the first trip to Toulouse and my wife was wearing a Penrith Panthers polo and was approached by a lady who was thrilled to see us as she was a big fan of Penrith and in broken English and French we had a great chat. We also bumped into her and her husband in the Sports Hall after the game and again exchanged views around the match. There are lots of English supporters who don't agree with the French teams being in the English leagues and I think myself that Toulouse XIII has more to offer to the French League rather than the Championship at the moment but I'm in favour of an Anglo French comp at a lower level than Superleague and all I ask is better organisation please from the RFL.

yeah hopefully - can't say yet for sure that I will be going as I may have to do a report for the paper at the Toulouse game so it depends on when the KOs are ?

they do a fine meal iat Chez Felix as well at lunchtime but you have to get in early to get a place - the RL team shirt will help you get served more quickly...

sorry to be picky but it's 'une grande bière'

bottoms up ! :DRUNK:

culturally it's great - a visit to La Cité is a must see and the prices inside the walled city for restaurants etc are very reasonable IMO - not a rip off tourist area, again IMO

which language are we talking about ? Yorkshire,French or English ?

I agree that Toulouse would be of more use in the french LER to make it stronger but I fear the RFL has it in it's mind to get TO13 into SL at some stage,I think it depends on whether the Minimes is redeveloped or not...
A full-time Toulouse Olympique in SL would be feasable with their second team competing in the LER,like the Catalans & UTC

Having got a chance to read it, the big A4 magaziney thing seems to be an A4 magazine for April.

Sadly, there's nowt in it about us, as they didn't know about the fixture when they printed it.

Anyone want one of my team sheets to supplement their four page brochure? It's got our squad in it but not the correct teams. I'll do a few copies and bring them with me on Sunday so just ask.
