Well, no. Seeing a the RFL said he could play. How did you think that conversation went;
Halifax: 'Hi RFL, bit of a confusion about whether Sam Barlow can play. He's the write-up etc. What do you reckon?'
RFL: 'Ah right, well no he can't play to be honest. But we'll tell you and the media that we said ''we see no reason why he can't play'', but no, looking at that you have certainly got an ineligible player. Umm, play him and see what happens.'
Halifax: 'Oook, but the partyline is you've told us and the media he's ok to play'
RFL: 'Yes'
You can go crazy and sue Mr.Barlow all you like. If Halifax fielded an ineligible player, we'd be thrown out on Monday morning as that's the rules. As it happens, I can't see that happening because the club did the right thing by asking.
