For the financial difficulties Leigh had, the "begging buckets" for want of a better term that were out in the close season internationals (England and England Knights) that is one hell of a squad they've compiled.
I just hope that, for the supporter's sake, the new model is more sustainable than the old one.
We're all hoping for the same and thankfully this year's budget seems a lot less flawed now the sugardaddy element has been removed. 1,800 break even, 2,000 to pay most of the debt off, 2,200 average possibly achievable and would mean we're debt free by the end of the season. Our squad size is much smaller and obviously players realise their Championship options are ever reducing on our side of the Pennines.
Truly unbelievable comeback! Don't think anyone in the ground expected us to win that at 22-0 with 25 mins left, to be fair though we never stopped going and played excellently the last 20 minutes. The drop goal from Brambani was incredible, second time he's done it for us after his effort against Featherstone a few years ago.
We should qualify for the quarter finals now, for a change!!
Bolton by birth,
Irish by blood,
LEYTHER by heart and soul!!

As a Leyther, you’re one of us the moment you come here to wear the shirt. I don't care where you were born, what colour you are, what religion you are, what language you speak. You're one of us, part of our culture, writing our history as you create your own, and making us stronger for it....
Im not sure about this, ive not seen what kind of squad Leigh have cobbled together following bankruptcy. But still a big name and always a threat. I honestly have not idea about this one....
No bankrupcy - not even administration (hence no points deduction/relegation/etc)....just a tremendous effort by all concerned!!
Hopefully today's 2nd half was just a blip......and well done for sticking at it - a lot of teams would have folded at 22-0 going into the final quarter!!
I was there for the fev game too both fantastic results though todays not a great game - what was the score in the fev match - different direction of kick I think?
Excellent comeback and the ideal time to take the lead for the only time in the match! We've done just that to others, ('Fax in the NRC Final last year) so we have to take it when it comes our way.
Here's looking forward to (at least) two more exciting games this season - but hopefully not in the play-offs!
