The second half was a good performance, hopefully this team will get the chance to gel a bit more in the coming weeks, Menzie's interview was the highlight!

A good, solid professional performance. Thought QLT was outstanding first half, went off the boil a bit second half with a couple of dropped balls but we'll let him off. Thought Simon Brown's kicking game was excellent, couple of really difficult touchline conversions and also unlucky not to have a couple of 40/20s. Kyle Wood also had a good game as did the new centre Crookes, looks like he could score a few tries if we can keep him for the majority of the season. Menzie awesome as usual, that break really was something else and he was so close to smashing Thorman with a massive hit too! Danny Mills had his best game for a long, long time, more of the same please. Alex Rowe and Ryan Hepworth gave good go forward and substance to the attack. Honourable mention for Szostak too, but man of the match for me was Henderson, absolute tackling machine and was excellent in and around the ruck, directing traffic and spotting gaps.



Highlight of the night was Dr Badvibes' horrific attempt at the crossbar at half time (video to follow).

I can only echo what ESO has said, much improved second half performance and a great boost to confidence. Brown was excellent and Hendo was outstanding. Q showed traces of what he can do, once he's got to know everyone and fully up to fitness we've got a player there.



For all Yorks efforts they couldn't punish our errors like Widnes did. the basis of a good teams there. Credit to Elvis who took his try well, as an eagles legend I'll let him off.



Let's push on, onwards and upwards.

A wins a win ,and thats all it was , York as relegation Fodder , and Seagulls did nothing to frighten me ,QLT dropped a couple of easy balls ,dont see what all the fuss about him is like Groom ,a one trick pony ,and why do your guys do all the try scoring celebrations?Probably because you dont score many ,you only got one against us

Got to say that the performance was what I expected, when some of the passes start sticking we'll be a really tough side to beat. Pat Smith looked out of his depth when he came on, looking around as though he didn't know the plays and I'm sure Henderson got pinged for a forward pass that wasn't forward, just to equal out the fact that almost every ball Smith threw was forward!



York looked poor, very one dimensional going forwards, shut down Thorman and they have nothing. Looking forward to them being battered through the season so Fat Woods (this is being pleasant, what a size! He had one of the coaches stood in front of him at one point, and you could still see him either side!) can keep bringing them in to train weekends!!

The commentators kept saying that it would be easier to cal Quentin Q then proceeded to call him by his full name - probably just to show off. Bear in mind that this guy has travelled half way around the world and only got off a plane a week ago, he’s had 2 matches in a week with the first one being against Super League elect opposition.



Andrew Henderson would have been my choice for man of the match.



Alex S – tremendous amount of work. Ryan Hep. and Alex R – great impact, the latter does seen to cop a few head shots during matches – although nothing too nasty in this one.



Chris Thorman has been a very good player wherever he has been - even forgive him for playing for fart-town.
