Initial thoughts Leigh's odds are not very generous they are the most Likely winners but to risk £5 to win £1 no thanks.

why are london above us in the betting we are now full time and have potentially a lot better side than we had last season apart from when they beat us at Blackpool we proved we were a better side than London last season so for them to be 3rd favs is strangeunless they have gone full time and signedlot of players

The bookies obviously think Leigh are likely winners too. Why would they want to encourage bets on Leigh ? It's a business decision. So "no thanks" is just the reaction for which they're looking.

You are probably right griff but to balance the books they have to give other sides better odds hence the 25/1 on Sheffield if our players gell that could be a great price but to put things in perspective Leigh only lost 1 game last season and beat us by 9 points have signed rangi Chase and have kept there better players from last season so probably 2nd is the best we can hope for

Duggs we at Leigh have tonight announced the signing of Willie Tonga from Catalans ,with another possible signing yet to come.So those odds might look a tad generous.

They are certainly trying to buy their way into the superleague but then Salford tried to buy their way to the top and it hasn't happen yet!

Very true, but last season at one point Salford were as high as 3rd in SL till Rangi got suspended along with a couple of others then they started slipping down the League.

Charlie, don't forget at one point last season Leigh finished top of the Championship then fell away at an alarming rate of knots

Thanks very much for asking Roger at the moment I'm feeling very well,I've started doing an hour in the swimming pool 4 times a week,and im hoping the Doc tells me I'm OK to start a bit on the exercise bike after Christmas, my health was very poor at one stage , but I'm improving.
It's always good to chat with opposing fans,I take nowt for granted and I think this coming season will be very close and competitive, my dark horses are Dewsbury,but I rate Bradford , Fax , Sheff, London and Fev,anyway I hope it's a good season plenty of open Rugby.
