Re: Game 13 - Dewsbury Home : Wed May 20, 2015 9:03 am
I expected a difficult game - made more so on the morning of the game with the parting of James Webster from Wakefield and the linking of Glenn Morrison, the Dewsbury coach to replace him.Obvious their players would give everything.Difficult conditions with the wind and heavy shower as the game got underway.
Offensively not as fluent as usual but with the half back pairing being apart from each other for a lengthy period of time,Patch the additional play maker, usually, when they are together, and Q not joining the line,or breaking it,with his expected regularity there did seem to be something missing.
Should I be surprised that uber-professional Nozza, with all those experienced half backs on the field, was the only one to kick a 40/20?
Certainly pleased with his contribution and the usual display from Sam Smeaton and Tonka.
Defensively,again,conceding only single figures.
I hope Q is fully fit for the Bloomfield road surface.
Hendo and a player are bigging up their chances on their website for Saturday.
Should be a good 'un.
