With Leigh Champions elect and the best championship side we have seen for a while (winning each match by an average of 25.87 points compared to Fevs average of 22.23 18.33 24.60 in the last 3 seasons) I know that Leigh have a terrible playoff record how many consecutive playoff games have they lost ? If only we had somebody on this forum who would know !!!

I have looked at the playoffs (See Below) to find out how to avoid them basically we need to finish 3rd that way we will need to beat fev away but would have 2 chances to do so

If we finish 3rd we would play away to Featherstone if we lost we would then play at home probably a team like Batley or Dewsbury and then in the Q SF probably Featherstone away again but compare this if we finish 4th away to Leigh, home v Qualify PO team (ie Batley Dewsbury) then most probably Leigh away

5th to 8th will be tough but not the end of the world Batley finished 5th last year and got to the grand final and to be honest i think it might be an easier option that finishing 4th but it would mean that we cant lose a game

1st-placed club v 4th-placed club (winner advances to Week 3, loser home in Week 2)
2nd-placed club v 3rd-placed club (winner advances to Week 3, loser home in Week 2)
Elimination play-offs
5th-placed club v 8th-placed club (winner away in Week 2, loser eliminated)
6th-placed club v 7th-placed club (winner away in Week 2, loser eliminated)
Week 2
Preliminary semi-finals
Highest ranked Qualifying play-off losing club (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) v Lowest-ranked Elimination play-off winning club (5th, 6th, 7th or 8th) (winner away in Week 3, loser eliminated)
Lowest ranked Qualifying play-off losing club (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) v Highest-ranked Elimination play-off winning club (5th, 6th, 7th or 8th) (winner away in Week 3, loser eliminated)
Week 3
Qualifying semi-final 1
Highest-ranked Qualifying play-off winning club v Lowest-ranked Preliminary semi-final winning club (Winner to Grand Final, loser eliminated)
Qualifying semi-final 2
Lowest-ranked Qualifying play-off winning club v Highest-ranked Preliminary semi-final winning club (Winner to Grand Final, loser eliminated)

We haven't won a play-off game since 2004!

Thats 10 years !!! at least from your point that streak will end this year. From our point of view we have had an excellent 3 years but we are on the decline now

Surely we need to finish 8th, thereby guaranteeing away games throughout the play-offs.

At this rate we will be VERY lucky to finish in any play off position!
