Mark Ashton & Darryl Powell were a halfback pairing at Eagles many moons ago?

If so was it when you beat Wigan in the CC, might be wrong about this also?

But if correct it will add some spice to the final.

No Daryl had left by the time we were in the cup final, but they did play together, yes.

Thanks ESO my spelling leaves something to be desired sometimes as does my memory!

But I have some good memories from the Don Valley, you must be of age with me, do you remember us battering you lot in the CC circa 93/94? Probably the best Widnes I have seen, missed the late 80's, but what sticks in my mind about the game was a Mr Bruce Maguire giving Paul Hulme a good thumping whilst he was on the floor & the officals missing it.

I most certainly do not remember it, I was born in 1992 on the day that the Eagles beat the all conquering Widnes 32-30, starring Jonathan Davies amongst others, 22nd November it was!!
