Skolars sign Skee and May both top quality players : Thu Jan 06, 2011 5:23 pm
London Skolars have today announced the signing of Dylan Skee. It’s a return to the capital for the 24 year old half-back who spent the 2010 season with Whitehaven, where he scored 5 tries in 15 appearances.The move north followed three seasons with Quins RL for the Australian born youngster. After a season in the reserve academy side, he made his debut in the Super League against Castleford Tigers in July 2008, making a further 2 appearances in 2009.
Skee will link up with a couple of former colleagues in North London. Skolars have re-signed winger Ade Abebisi. (pictured above right) Originally from London, the 24 year old played his junior rugby with Skolars before a spell with Quins RL. He moved to Whitehaven in 2008, scoring 32 tries in 2 seasons. He returned to the capital during 2010 where he scored 13 tries in 17 appearances, becoming Skolars’ leading try scorer for the season.
Also signing for Skolars is Luke May Pictured above left). The 20 year old three quarter was released by Quins after making 4 Super League appearances over the last two seasons. Ashford born May played 10 games for Skolars as a dual registered player in 2010.
Skolars’ Head Coach Joe Mbu is delighted to have all three players on board. “I’ve played with all three of the guys when I was at Quins and more recently coached Luke and Ade last season at Skolars. They are both great young talents and will add considerably to our attacking force in the backs.”
