London Skolars are pleased to announce there first signing for the 2010 season and the return to New River of one of their former junior players.

Back row forward Matt Carter is 20 years old and has joined Skolars after several years with Harlequins RL.

Skolars were still in the amateur ranks when he captained their Under 13s side in 2002.

Head Coach James Massara commented "I have known Matt for 6 years including my time at the Quins and I know the quality he will bring to the side. I am delighted that he is joining the Skolars. He is an aspirational bloke and is well aware of the challenge that he faces. I know he looks upon this move as a great opportunity to further his rugby league career".
