They have 2 weeks to figure what is going wrong and improve their game. I t is really disappointing as we were starting to shred the biggest losers tag and becoming a club to be rekon with.
However it all comes down to recruitment and the type of player that the club wants.

No disrespect to some of the players but I dont think they are up to this standard.
I cant put my finger on why they are performing so bad however they need to turn the corner in the next 2 games otherwise they will be on a hiding to nothing over the next 5 months.

I would be interested to hear what the Skolars development strategy is going forward. Now they have not got as much access to overseas players because of the rule changes, they are bringing in average ability players from local amateur clubs. Is this what they intend to continue doing ? I am not sure how well that would be received by local amateur clubs ! Or is there a conveyor belt of juniors so well advanced that in a year or two, quality rugby league juniors will be stepping out for them ? Or are these players snapped up by Quins ? Now the Quins are competing in a u21 competition presumably they won't be off loading players to Skolars ? They look like they are struggling for a reserve grade - at least one that is organised and set up to provide players for the firsts. Lots of questions - and I would be intetrested to hear some answers. As a follower of rugby league I would love to see them succeed, but fail to see how they will.

while on the surface that result looks like a mauling it wasn;t the case and was a much much much improved performance from the Hunslet game.
In both periods (especially the first) Skolars were on top for large parts and kept the rams scorless for large periods. While the rams have undoubted class, which was shown in some of their second half scores especially (i personally think they will romp this league), all the luck of the bounce seemed to go dewsbury's way and given that due to injuries Skolars were down to one sub for the majority of the game then the fight for each other that the Skolars showed was a credit to the club. If they keep up that attitude and commitment it will come together. It's a young club, with young local players who have the ability to perform and hopefully, starting tommorrow against blackpool, will make sure clubs know they've been in a game with Skolars and the results will follow.

Have faith...you need to ask that question to the players. You can not keep your spirits up when getting beat by that score. Callum is a good coach and deserves better than what is being dished up.
I am trying to stay positive but when you see score lines like that you have to wonder what is going on.

Callum has never coached a side that has won a game, unless you count Junior Rl. That comment should be ammended to Callum is a nice guy.

So do you think that a more experienced coach is required then??
I do think that may be the case also. This would be about the toughest gig you could get as a coach and experience and knowledge is required to bring the best out of the club not throwing in young kids to see how they can handle it.
I am at a loss as to the way forward for the club.

Just saw that we loss again to Blackpool- 48-10. Not taking anything away from Blackpool as they have been improving in leaps and bounds over the past year but that is another performance that is not up to par.
This is going to be a very long season and the board need to make some smart decsions for the future cause at this moment Sth London Storm would beat this team pretty easy.
