If your saying that the only reason i want them to stay up is because there two easy points then your an idiot they have already shown twice that if u go into a game with them thinking there a pushover they will win (wigan and bradford)

Sorry, I can't find one online but if you have Monday's League Express then they are mentioned in the article in there.

They were tax related. If you read the RL press article you refer to then you will see that quite clearly. The CCJs had nothing to do with the productivity of his business. And he is stating that his business has made a pre-tax profit this year as opposed to last year when it made a small loss.

I think it's great that the RFL are supporting the Crusaders. It's just a shame Gateshead Thunder and Sheffield Eagles couldn't have had the same kind of support at the same time in their development. At least the RFL seems to have learned its corporate lesson from the mistakes of the past (in leaving clubs to sink or swim, or worse still - merging to save other clubs).

Not sure why you say that.

11 pages on the HKR forum starting rumours off about celtic. Lots of rovers fans hoping for their demise and i criticise that.

Nice to know you support Celtic though. Maybe you could link in to the debate on the HKR forum where you ride out like the cavalry supporting Celtic on the thread criticising them.
I said that because its you usual line is to have a dig anytime HKR are mentioned or mention the made up fact that we all think we have millions of fans (You didnt let yourself down on either score in this thread eh. )
You know it and I know it.
Infact seeing as you seem to know so much about what was said on KR's forum I have a sneaking feeling you went on there for ammo.
So Congrats with finding it.
Also why would I feel the need to go on my forum as cavalry the way you stereotyped KR fans you would think that ALL the fans were saying what you are quoting when they are not.
Like I said 'Spouting your usual Gobsh**e I see'
P.S sorry for interupting this thread and may in say again that I want CC to become massive as any expansion is good for tgg!

:) Why do some people have a problem with the CC getting a helping to hand off the RFL? The RFL should be applauded for actually being pro-active and heading off trouble now not when it's a full blown crisis. The first SL season was always going to be difficult.

As Starbug has said, some of the TV money given to SL clubs should be cut and used to finance Celtic for the remainder of the licence period.

Great. The other clubs will have budgetted on the basis that they would get that money and if it is denied to them (particularly with no notice) it would cause financial problems for them.

Why should other clubs suffer because Leighton Samuel can't add up?

Hedgehog King. you seem to be in the know. does this mean that no other clubs have ever been helped out by the RFL? It was my impression that several had, including SL clubs. Is your opposition to us getting help (if we actually are) actually because we are not based in the North of England?

I'm not "in the know", I'm just a bloke with an opinion. I don't have a particular problem with the RFL assisting Crusaders but not like that.

Crusaders aren't the only SL side and they aren't the only ones who are cash light, if the RFL took away part of Crusaders Sky money to help out Bradford or Quins then I would imagine that Crusaders would have something to say about it. And rightly so, they would have budgetted on the basis that they would get that money and losing it would cause them problems.

If the RFL have the funds to loan Crusaders funds then fine IMO they should lend it to them - but it should be a loan and the RFL shouldn't have to do this every year.

Crusaders have had a bad season and ordinarily they would be relegated back to NL1 where they could cut their cloth according to their means and win more games. The new rules mean that they have to play in SL for another two seasons minimum and this presents a fairly unique problem and one that causes me some worry.

I think Crusaders can survive one bad season but if the next one is equally poor then things aren't going to be pretty. They aren't the worst side to play SL by some distance but you can't really market a club as "Not the worst side ever to play the game".

It's more the suspicion that the RFL wouldn't have helped an M62 club were they equally in the mire. Whether this is true or not is open to conjecture but you didn't get quite the same response when Doncaster had their (on-going) troubles.
