Pepe i for one am sorry widness are not in SL i was at bellevue in 05 when you turned over the wildcats in that televised game. you were very entertaining to watch.

yes its true we are here to stay so lets move along. but reverting to my usual cynical motion i can see the conspiracy in action. RFL have wanted to expand into the valleys. RU attendences are on the fall and the WRU have made a mess of the regional system. they needed to jump in now to ever have any chance of getting a foothold before faggot ball takes over.

i find it just a little too convienient that the license system is introduced just as crusaders arrive near the top of NL1. however they knew full well if cru went up they'd go straight down as is being shown this season. that would lead to needless spending to buy in playes and cause financial problems in the future.

i see the license system last long enough for us to be able to maintain our SL spot. call me a cynic but i'll put £5 on the RFL coming out and saying the license system has failed/not turned out as planned etc when the crusaders are able to maintain their spot.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The franchise system will be with us for a long time now , once Widnes go up no other club will be anywhere near making the jump , the gap is already too big and will only get bigger

we'll see, to be honest if it stays i'll expect the next thing to be a US style draft. local clubs will bring on their academy teams as normal and at the end of the their u20 season or earlier if they choose they'll be put in to a draft and the clubs will pick them just like the NFL.

perhaps moving the u20 towards a college or uni setting supported by the club so the lads can study sports or something along with rugby so at least they can get some quals incase injury etc stops their career

Whether folk like it or not, Celtic Crusaders are in Super League for another two and a half seasons. So for that time it would be more helpful for all concerned if posters here were to spend time putting forward suggestions and ideas that might help them develop their club and the game generally in South Wales.
After that it would be more appropriate to criticize them for what they might have done wrong while continuing to applaud them for what they have done right.

I thought the RFL also stated that a club could be relegated if they did not come "UP TO SCRATCH"?? In one of the earlier statements from Nige. at Red Hall.

I think it is pretty safe to say we will be here for the three years.

Let's hope so anyway.
