Im a season ticket holder and I can tell you there were no 'freebies' for me as you put it. There were 5,597 RUGBY LEAGUE FANS in Newport yesterday and soon to be many more when we sort ourselves out off the field. Im really looking forward to next year , we'll have a few points to prove and Im sure we will.....
I was there and enjoyed the experienece.
The bottom line is that the club has got to succeed. Get a half-decent off-season with some new faces and put behind the problems of work permits etc.
Everyone moaned when they let the Catalans in and they were a soft-touch in their first season, but bounced back the following year and it wasn't long after that before they were heading for Wembley.
Hopefully, Celtic will do the same. South Wales was a refreshing place for me to go, to find people with interest in your team and how the game is played without the thousands of years of pit village ingrained bitterness you can get up north.
Since we've never been there this year, can you play the Leeds game on-the-road at Bridgend next season ?
From Hammersmith to the Shire to LA to the world!! Goodbye!

I like Bazza. All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.
NEW COMPETITION COMING SOON!! YOU COULD BE THE NEXT BARRY McKENZIE!! WATCH THIS SPACE!!
If it was free entrance why did we have to pay to enter the ground?. Only freebees were to season ticket holders. I feel ashamed at times to call myself a notherner when I see such comments of abuse on the boards. I must go to different matches to everyone else because I don't get free tickets. Incidently over 3 thousand attended for the Quins.
A lot of Newport Gwent Dragons supporters were given free tickets.
We were sitting talking with a few of them.
They said they would not be back for another RL fixture
Widnes.... 20 years and many more of NON achievement!

Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

Dont be proud mate be gutted that you showed 5000 fans how bad you are no way did more than 1500 hundred celtic fans pay full price to get in id say it was a fiver a ticket to any 1 in newport who wanted to watch the game or even given out free.if that be the case you will be getting into debt every week.i might be wrong not lol.i just wish it had been on tv but i have a laugh every week when i get results .i am not having a go at the fans even though it might seem like that.but you know your admin cheated and bent rules to get in super l i mean did u see clarky on boots and all class.you will go down only a matter of time.ps have a look to your left at that little pic o champions of the world still makes me shudder after 20 years we will be back.the mighty chemics
i know the idea of evidence as a concept is beyond you but at least try. You know something more then my mate told me etc etc
was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have
