Please enlighten me why you got your place in SL and try and dent my wall of stupidity, as the only reason i can see is because of your location and the fact that the RFL are hell bent on expansionism, regardless of the cost to any existing teams.

As i suspected no one can give me a reason as to why Celtic are in SL other than their location.

Would any team in Yorkshire, Lancashire or Cumbria have been given the nod in the same position ?

Whether it was right or not is down to your opinion on the politics of the game and the direction the RFL is taking us! Not a new argument is it??

Is it one worth keeping up?? If so, who with?? Are the celtic fans at fault?? Who is your anger with - if indeed you are angry??? And if so, you do you propose to address it with?? Have you tried anything, successful or otherwise???

I ask, because I'm one who is mightily hacked off with how the game is being run at the mo, but I don't necessarily want to see the crusaders to be excluded from the event!!!! I will scrutinise their performance and more importantly the RFL to see if their experiment was/is worth it.

But, and it's a big BUT, I can't see any mileage in continually baiting individuals on here. Individuals that are rugby fans - regardless of where they enjoy there rugby, a beer and good craic in a place where league previously hasn't been allowed a look in.

I just wished there was equal opportunity for all in our game! There isn't.
I have opinions at odds with the majority of crusaders users of this forum. But I doubt if I would be at odds with any individual - life's far too short for that!!!

Is banging on about it on here worth it Rupert??

If you really want to know why Celtic got into SL before Fax, Leigh or Widnes apart from Location, it would have been that their Kids are rather good at RL..........they have a youth structure, they promised a stadium (al a widnes, fax, Wakey, Salford, St Helens and Salford) and they are potentially a hotbed for RL....unlike Leigh who got 5 points in their 1 year in SL, Fax, who were relegated with 0 points and the worse season crowd average in the last 10 years and widnes who broke RFL rules on financial matters......

Nah - it was their location. Simples.

I'd sooner not dress it up! The majority of the celtic fans don't appear to be doing.
The RFL want to expand the game - no bad idea. Just wished they'd be straight about it and give all clubs a fair crack at the cherry.

so their youth set up isn't good? They didn't promise a state of the art sports stadium and they didn't (playing by the rules as the rfl laid them down) kick cr@p out of most of last years C1 teams? No their fault the UKBA decided to mess with the rules (and I still believe someone from the regions rejected MAY well have tipped off the UKBA anyway...)
Also, as someone wisely pointed out on another thread, if the "heartland" clubs had paid more attention to their own houses over the preceeding 100+ years, you wouldn't have this problem. No point crying over spilt milk when it was spilt 50+ years ago!
