The game will survive in North Wales. Too much work and effort has been put in, to let it go to waste. We have an appetite for this sport and we'll make it work.
You're likely to see me in a Crusaders shirt, in a Warrington game or a Catalans game.
Saints are offering 'bring a mate for a tenner' if the other person pays full price (this is to sit in our poshest stand, the one that was very empty on TV when Warrington came to visit) and the next three games are £20 each if bought in a batch of three (a saving of £18 in total).
All clubs run offers. This one sounds like a good one for Crusaders to run.
This is one of two games each season that I hope Crusaders lose! But it would be good if they lost it competitively, giving home fans hope of a win very shortly!
(We are due a loss, btw, as we have won our last three games)
How many fans do you think you will be bringing? 1,000?

To be honest, I've no idea. We are all confused this season, what with the move to Widnes proving to be too much for some of our fans (bless their dear, parochial little hearts). Hopefully we will bring a decent gate for you.
I visited your place last year but I'm unemployed this year and so sadly will not be able to join the visiting throng. There was a great atmosphere at your place last season so how ever many do turn out from Saints, I know they will enjoy their visit and make a good contribution.

Yes I went to your game against Wires earlier in the season, and some fans seem to be disinterested this season now you are playing in the Stobart for this season. I was on holiday for the game against you guys at the Racecourse but sounded a cracking atmosphere. Sure your fans will enjoy the night out, we will always make all fans welcome.

Does it not occur to you that those Saints fans who don't go to Widnes might be short of money for the transport there?much the same reason that you are not coming Wrexham on Friday.

Well last year we filled the back part of the seated stand behind the goal, i tried to get in their 15 minutes before kick off and was told it was full had to go in the stand on the side, why dont they open the front part of that stand? was around 5500 on last year if i remember, why friday this time?

Friday night is our fixture night for some wierd reason.... When fans have to travel a minimum of 50mins to come to our place it just doesn't make sense. For the likes of you guys, Wires, Wigan etc, if it was on a Saturday or Sunday in the day, you will bring loads more. I cant work it out to be honest! And the other question about the lower tier of the stand, I actually dont know why they dont open it.... thats a bit stupid to me as well...

Some Saints fans are real saddos. But those of us who turned up against Warrington just felt lost. There were also a lot of teething problems that night, especially in the North Stand, and with the buses too. Also, the players had to adjust (James Graham commented in his piece in the Saints programme that he still has to keep stopping himself from planning his moves at Knowsley Road!). It was always going to take time but the performance at Leeds was such a welcome breakthrough that it sparked up the fans and our last two home games have had a great atmosphere. People are getting used to Widnes now, even as Knowsley Road is being demolished.

It was and your fans did. You have a great set of fans I think. They are welcoming and noisy and I couldn't say enough good stuff about the Cru lot.

I saved up and bought a £40 ticket for the Arriva rugby bus. I was unemployed but could still afford to put a fiver away each fortnight and pay that fee. I now have guaranteed transport to every Widnes game, including Challenge Cup and Playoffs (if we get there). That is one hell of a bargain. So I don't buy that as a reason for staying away from Widnes. We all knew for ages that Widnes was coming and that Saints were planning on arranging subsidised transport for fans. Some Saints fans will moan and groan about anything and everything and frankly, I'm tired of them.
But anyway, the Cru site isn't the place to argue that point, so I'll shut up!

Feel free, there is plenty of space on this board Hope you can make the game on friday.
