For general Rail Travel Advice in Europe, try : www.seat61.com For European Rail Timetable advice, try : www.bahn.co.uk/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtm ... t_lid=3491 And for buying European Train Tickets, try : www.raileurope.co.uk NB - I found that last year (2009), it wasn't possible to book the Barcelona - Perpignan trains directly online and you had to phone up Rail Europe directly to do it.

im looking at staying near les barcares for the giants game in september,can anyone tell me if its easy to get to les barcares by train or bus from carcassonne?

There is a train that runs from barcelona to perpignan I used it twice in 2008.

Will be arriving in Perpignan on Thursday 17th June. I see that France's world cup game is on that evening, against Mexico, and it would be great to watch it in a French bar with loads of locals. Where would be best/safest place to watch it in Perpignan?

Saturday 18th August Catalans v Leeds Rhinos.

Wondering if someone could give me a bit of advice regarding the above fixture. I'm looking to book as soon as possible.

What will the weather be like at that time of year?
Seen as though this is my first time coming across this part of France I'm a bit confused by it all.
What's the best possible route of doing this?

You can fly Doncaster or Manchester to Girona with Ryanair. There's a direct bus from Girona airport to Perpignan.
