Ashton Bears A 90 - 4 Fitton Hill
Blackpool Scorpions A 32 - 32 Culcheth
Folly Lane A 22 - 22 Widnes West Bank A
Halton Simms Cross A 22 - 28 Chester
Irlam Hornets A 28 - 20 Accrington Panthers
Little Hulton 0 - 26 Leigh East A
Rochdale Cobras A 6 - 92 Blackbrook A

Quite few draws this week which throws the mid table wide open a gritty win for Chester today against a tough Halton Simms Cross team. Fixture was switched to Chester earlier in the week.

Pleased to get Chester back to winning ways hope to continue next week against Little Hulton.

Re: NWC Division 6 : Sun Oct 31, 2010 7:47 am
We did have 5 regular players missing but you can only beat whats put in front of you, credit where credits due, Chester played the game to there strengths and done the basics right, We, however, could not complete our sets in either half and were punished accordingly, we also talked back to the ref far to much resulting in penalties.

When did get it right we scored the points, but unfortunatley were to far behind.

I also would like to say that for a big lad your No.7 has a good pair of hands and run your line very well.

Well done the 17 lads that travelled to Chester today from Simmies, and well done to all the Chester lads.

Looking forward to getting you on our big pitch in a few weeks......also thanks to Paul Foster (Chester Coach) for understanding about the time issue.

Accrington Panthers v Blackpool Scorpions A
I am going for a home win for Accy Panthers I think they have sufferred a bit recently but I would be looking to them to Bounce back against Blackpool

Blackbrook A v Irlam Hornets A
Can see nothing but a big home win here think Blackbrook will be just to strong for a improving Irlam side

Chester v Little Hulton
Chester will hopefully continue there recent form and build on the home win against Halton Simms with a good win against another new team.

Culcheth v Halton Simms Cross A
I am expecting Simmies will be looking to bounce back after last weeks game and if they can keep a check on their discipline I expect them to be too strong for Culceth

Fitton Hill v Folly Lane A
I think Folly should be Ok for the win here

Leigh East A v Ashton Bears A
Tough one to call but I am going to go for a win for the impressive Ashton Bears they have had a great start to the season and I think although it will be close they will pip LEigh to the Victory

Widnes West Bank A v Rochdale Cobras A
Sorry Ben but I think you could be on the end of a cricket score if you don't 'man up' Widnes are well drilled and a strong side who on their day should beat all the teams in thsi division.

I Agree With your predictions paul b But i must addmit i dont agree with you saying Widnes West Bank Would Beat Anyone in This Division. I personally Think Blackbrook Are Far to Strong For any team in this divsion.

I also disagree with that statement......as our second team beat them.

I agree that Blackbrook are a very strong outfit in my defence I did say that ON THEIR DAY widnes would beat most and I know that Rochdale's seconds have been struggling as the firsts are rightly taking the priority.

I respect every team in this division and the teams that are putting two teams out week in week out are where I hope Chester will be in a few years!

Re: NWC Division 6 : Fri Nov 05, 2010 1:03 pm
After playing both Blackbrook and Widnes west bank in consecutive weeks I must say i don't the Bank are anywhere near Blackbrook. After leading 22-6 against West Bank last week we went on the throw the game and ended up drawing 22-22. Blackbrook on the hand we almost impossible to break down defensively. After we took the lead against them I thought they would crack, but they battled on and got 2 tries just before half time making it 8-4 then the second half was all one traffic.

We have some strong teams this year for me Blackbrook, widnes west bank and Us (Folly Lane) will be the top 3. With teams like Chester and Accrintong all being competitive. So far its been a lot better than last years comp. Long may it continue

Re: NWC Division 6 : Fri Nov 05, 2010 4:55 pm
We have played both and Blackbrook at home were 6-10 until we had a lad sinbinned and they they went on to win 22-6 in the last 15 minutes. I agree that Widnes aren't quite as strong and our game against them was won in the final couple of minutes with a pass so far forward it was a joke! We had chances to equalise through a couple of penalties however we wanted the win and ended up losing 34-32!

I think Ashton could be in the top 3 they have made a cracking start to the season, I am hoping that we (Chester) can start to put a run of wins together I am gutted that we don't play Rochdale and Folly Lane until the final month, bad planning by the league!

Re: NWC Division 6 : Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:26 pm
Chester 18 - 0 Little Hulton

Got a call at just after 1:30 to say Little Hulton couldn't raise a team so a walk over for Chester.

Had 32 players available for today so had arranged a second game to play before the league game.

Chester 20 - 14 Spring View

A great close game of Rugby League that ebbed both ways throughout the match and thanks to Anita and the Spring View lads for travelling when their ground was declared unfit last night. Thankfully it allowed me to field at least a few lads who haven't really been tried before and the Chester team had to dig deep to gain the win.

Very pleased man tonight!
