Dear Club,

It is very unfortunate that I have to send this email out; however, due to the number of cancelled fixtures so far in this Interim Season without suitable notice or explanations, I have no alternative.

The NWML Management Group has made the decision to amend the rules to cover this. Going forward if a Club cancels more than three fixtures they may be removed from the fixture list for the 2011 Interim Season and this will obviously affect their League positioning for the 2012 Season.

For your information the following clubs have cancelled fixtures so far:-

· Adlington – 3rd Sept and 10th Sept fixtures (2 matches)
· Widnes West Bank – 3rd Sept and 10th Sept fixtures (2 matches)
· Bamber Bridge – 3rd Sept fixture (1 match)
· Wigan Riversiders – 3rd Sept fixture (1 match)
· Latchford Albion – 10th Sept fixture (1 match)
· Folly Lane “A” – 10th Sept fixture (1 match)

It's a shame there have been issues with call off's but given the short turnaround for summer clubs and uncertainty (which inevitably rubs off on players) it's not surprising.

On the flip side there are plenty of clubs who seem to be settling into the interim season.

we (newton) got wallopped at bank quay 58-12 something along those lines, cant really see anyone beating them this year.

I see adlington gave up another game against bank quay 1st team , does that mean theyre out?

No ,council closed their pitch i believe.

Worst thing for a Newton player to hear yesterday morning lol "Bank Quay 1st game called off" after that it was always gonna be a hard day in the office... But what can you do, I'm sure Addlington would have known before Saturday morning if the pitch was going to be closed abd could have relocated or reversed the fixture but thats just me being bitter haha
