Fitton Hill Bulldogs 6 - 38 Ashton Bears A.
A minutes silence and a minutes appluase was held before the game for one of Fittons lads who passed away recently.
On a quagmire of a pitch it was Ashton who took an early lead after a period of pressure and only a succseeion of dropped ball in the very slippery conditons prevented them extebnding their half time lead. To their credit Fitton Hill kept plugging away and were rewarded with a score. Ashton dominated possession and field position and eventually Hills defence gave way with the Bears going on to score more tries as the half went on. At the end of the game it was impossible to distinguish which side was which due to the mud as Ashton came away with the points.
It was an emotional day for Fitton Hill and everyone at Ashton extends their condolonces to the Bulldogs for their sad loss.
