can tell you more. its teh RU club though they seem pretty sure some Mets lads are going to them. But that doesnt fit with what i am hearing about Mets coming back in Sept.

The official line form my pal who is running it! ;

"It is mainly Bolton Rugby Union FC who run 4 senior teams we can manage to get 13 players out as we get 60 minimum out every week!"

Me and a mate of mine Sad Sack are probably going to have a run out for them also.

Totally agree hogan, you men and buccaneers will be very hard to beat this year, also the likes of leyland and lancs Vikings will also be tough, I just hope it a year were rugby gets played all summer.

The Wigan Riversiders set themselves a huge challenge last Thursday when we welcomed the Summer National Champions 2010, Warrington Wizards to Wigan in a pre season game for both teams.

The Riversiders showed what improvement they have made in the off season and came our losing 24-38 against what can be seen as the standard in Summer Rugby League. The Riversiders where leading 24-22 with 15 minutes to go, but when the Riversiders had a man sent to the Sin-Bin it proved costly and the Wizards ran in some late trys against a tiring defence.

From the sounds of things, this will be the last year in the current summer format. Let's hope it's a good one, can't wait for it to get going personally! And I'd agree with Craig, West Bank will be the benchmark in the NW for everyone to try and reach.
