Another Rugby League novel on the way. : Tue May 29, 2012 9:55 pm
Having written four novels all with a strong Rugby League background ("One Winter", "One Spring", "One Summer" and "One Autumn"), I am currently working on the next one in the series. It will be set during the 2002 and 2003 seasons and again inspired by the old saying about being at work "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."Up to now, the latest novel does not have a title but it does have a few interesting chapter titles. They include "A Day Stuck On The M62", "He Was A Good Yorkshireman", "Afternoon Tea At Bailiff Bridge", "A Tale From Knowsley Road", "The Man From Thatto Heath", "Muck Stacks Galore" and "The Jehovah's Widnes".
This coming Saturday morning (June 2nd) from 10.30 onwards I will be in WH Smith in the Ridings Centre in Wakefield signing copies of my fourth novel "One Autumn" with its background of "Work, Family Life and Rugby League" and also looking out for ideas.
If you have any suggestions or are now looking out for a Father's Day present why not call in and see me. It's free!
Regarding Rugby League books in general, don't forget that there is a very good selection on sale in the club shop and including a few copies of 'One Autumn'.
