CALENDAR GIRLS STRIP TO FIGHT CANCER!!
A HARDY group of yorkshire women have defied the winter cold to pose for a nude calendar in aid of a Yorkshire cancer charity. The Emma Maltby Memorial Fund was established in October 2003 to commemorate father and daughter Peter Rawson and Emma Maltby, who both died young of cancer – Mr Rawson, at 47, and Mrs Maltby, aged 38. Each day in the United Kingdom, six teenagers will discover they have cancer. The Emma Maltby Memorial Fund strives to make life better for children, teenage and young adult cancer patient. Whilst undergoing treatment, a young cancer patient can miss out on long periods of educational support and vital school or college exams. This, coupled with the trauma of the illness, only adds to their distress. Cancer patients need educational, emotional and developmental support for them to pursue their dreams and ambitions. The mission of The Emma Maltby Memorial Fund is to fulfil these needs through the provision of a Learning Mentor. The family chose to help young adults because Mrs Maltby was badly affected by her father's death in adolescence. The calendar was the idea of Miss January, Julie Whitmore. She arranged for professional photographer Adrian Ray to shoot models whom she knew through Tocklocks hair salon, which she runs in Tockwith, between Wetherby and York. Please support us with this amazing Charity and buy a copy of this gorgeous 2011 Calendar either from ebay by typing in girls charity calendar or by emailing myself at jessielove123@hotmail.com.
